Editorial
Welcome to
this issue of the Fisheries Newsletter. In this issue Bob
Gillett et al., on page 32, raise the issue of the use of
livelihood diversification for resource management in the
Pacific Islands. It is now understood that inshore fisheries are
overexploited in many areas of the Pacific and that securing
alternative sources of income or food to relieve pressure on
inshore marine resources in now critical.
