SPC MARINE TRAINING DIRECTORY

The purpose of this document is to list training opportunities available to the fisheries sector of Pacific Island countries and territories.

The first version of the Fisheries Training Directory was compiled in 1986 and circulated to fisheries' administrations and training providers in the SPC region.

Since 1997, the Training Directory is available online and normally updated with information mostly collected on the Internet.

SPC manages the data provided in the Directory as a source of information potentially useful to the fisheries sector of Pacific Islands. Persons seeking further details on course contents, dates, entry requirements, and fees need to contact directly the relevant training institution.

For each institution, the Directory provides a contact address (postal address, telephone, fax and E-mail as well as a web site when available), and a description of courses offered. A list of courses by subject area is also provided. Courses and institutions are described in the language of instruction.
