 Regional technical or sectoral meetings play an important part in achieving and reviewing SPC’s work programmes. Workshops, training courses, seminars, regional or sub-regional meetings are organised throughout the year by SPC programmes and sections.

Governing Council Meetings
SPC's governing council is the Conference of the Pacific Community, which meets every two years. In years when the Conference does not meet, the Committee of Representatives of Governments and Administrations (CRGA — a committee of the Conference) is empowered to make decisions. SPC's formal points of contact tend to be departments (or equivalents) of foreign affairs or finance/planning.

 INAUGURAL REGIONAL MEETING OF MINISTERS FOR ENERGY, INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) AND TRANSPORT
The 2011 triennial economic development ministerial meeting took place at SPC’s Noumea headquarters from 4 to 8 April. This was the first joint ministerial meeting for energy, ICT and transport sectors and was preceeded by regional sectoral meetings for officials, regional stakeholders and development partners. The theme for the meeting was strategic engagement for economic development. The weeklong agenda covered regional sectoral meetings, energy, ICT and transport (maritime and aviation) ministerial meetings and joint plenaries for cross-cutting issues. (Click here for papers)

The 41st meeting of SPC’s Committee of Representatives of Governments and Administrations (CRGA). was held at SPC headquarters in Noumea, 1−4 November 2011.
The meeting preceded the 7th Conference of the Pacific Community (7−8 November), the theme of which was ‘Climate change and food security – managing risks for sustainable development’.
