Pacific Regional Rights Resource Team
Pacific Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT)

The Pacific Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT) provides training, technical support, and policy and advocacy services tailored specifically for the Pacific region.

RRRT joined SPC in July 2008, after 13 years of working in the Pacific first under the UK Department for International Development and then the United Nations Development Programme.

Based in Suva, Fiji, RRRT has programmes across the Pacific Islands, with partners including governments, regional and civil society organisations.

RRRT is guided by the Pacific Leaders’ vision in the Pacific Plan of 2005, to “seek a Pacific region that is respected for the quality of its governance, the sustainable management of its resources, the full observance of democratic values and for its defence and promotion of human rights”.

Vision
A socially just and equitable Pacific Islands society based on principles of human rights, democracy and the rule of law as the basis of development for Pacific peoples.

Mission
To provide training, policy advice and technical support to Pacific governments and civil society to facilitate the establishment of mechanisms to enable them to observe human rights standards.
