signing_treatyLast Friday was an important occasion for the governments of Fiji and Tuvalu as a maritime boundary agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of Fiji, Honourable Voreqe Bainimarama, and the Prime Minister of Tuvalu, Honourable Enele Sopoaga. This signing event concluded many years of negotiations between senior government officials of both countries.

Chick-placementThe Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) Land Resources Division (LRD) project Vegetation and land cover mapping and improving food security for building resilience to a changing climate in Pacific Island communities for the Sabeto catchment area of Fiji in Nadi, conducted livestock production adaptation training for 66 villagers from Naboutini and Korobebe villages on 1–2 October.
