Regional Partners - Technical Support & Capacity Building

A key focus of the Grant Programmes is to provide, to national disease programmes direct, addiitonal funding to help increase the coverage and quality of key HIV, tuberculosis and/or malaria prevention, treatment and care services for targetted Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs).

In addition, the Grant Programmes provide additional funding to contribute to the reginal programmes of a number of key SPC collaborating partners.  This funding supports SPC's partners to provide technical support and capacity building to strengthen national disease programmes.  Key areas of support include training of health care personnel, supporting the adoption of regional and national best-practice treatment guidelines, and building skills in prevention and community awareness campaigns.
