Event/Meeting: Gender Statistics Workshop for Francophones
One of the main priorities of SPC’s Human Development Programme (HDP) is to build the capacity of Pacific island countries and territories (PICTs) to develop, deliver on and monitor national, regional and international social policy commitments directly related to gender equality and the advancement of women as reflected in the Pacific Platform for Action, the Pacific Plan, CEDAW, CRC and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).  A focus of this assistance is related to working with countries to develop, improve and utilise applicable gender indicators for improved policy making, planning, and implementation and monitoring.
