With
SCTB

now
only
a
few
short
weeks
away,
herewith
further
information
on
various
aspects
of
the
meeting.
Over
60
participants
have
now
signalled
their
intention
to
participate.
Intending
participants
who
have
not
yet
provided
travel
details
or
indicated
accomodation
preferences
are
urged
to
do
so.
Sufficient
funding
will
now
be
available
to
support
one
participant
from
all
Pacific
Island
countries,
this
situation
most
recently
assisted
by
a
generous
contribution
from
New
Zealand,
to
supplement
an
earlier
one
from
the
Republic
of
Korea.
The
plenary
meeting,
from
Wednesday
July
5th
to
Wednesday
July
12th,
will
be
held
in
the
main
SPC
Conference
Room,
the
Jacques
Iekawe
Room.
Various
audiovisual
aids
to
assist
presentations,
including
computer
projection
will
be
available.
Interpretation
will
be
provided
for
all
plenary
sessions.
Contributed
working
papers
will
be
posted
as
they
are
received
on
the
SCTB
webpage
(http://www.spc.int/oceanfish),
along
with
meeting
details,
and
a
progressively
updated
list
of
participants.
Participants
are
encouraged
to
send
electronic
copies
of
working
papers,
for
posting
on
the
webpage
prior
to
the
meeting.
If
it
is
not
possible
to
send
a
completed
version,
submission
of
a
title
with
authors
would
still
assist.
Attention
is
drawn
to
the
usual
requirement
for
presentation
of
national
fishery
reports,
an
outline
for
which
can
be
found
on
the
webpage.
SPC/OFP
can
assist
with
the
provision
and
compilation
of
national
fishery
statistics
if
needed.
Arrangements
for
the
preparatory
working
groups
prior
to
the
main
meeting,
which
are
open
to
participation
by
all
thos
interested,
are
confirmed
as
below.
All
meetings
will
take
place
in
the
small
conference
room,
adjacent
ot
the
main
conference
room.
a)
The
special
working
group
sesion
on
Data
Collection
Forms
will
meet
on
Monday
July
3rd,
at
0900
hrs,
to
review
the
SPC/FFA
logsheets.
Régis
Etaix-Bonnin,
Miki
Ogura
and
Al
Coan
will
lead
the
reviews
of
the
longline,
pole-and-line
and
purse
seine
logsheets
respectively.

The
oceanographic
database
users
group
will
meet
on
Tuesday
July
4th
as
per
the
recent
invitation
posted
by
John
Sibert.
c)
The
bigeye
modelling
group
would
meet
on
Tuesday
afternoon
at
1330
hrs.
The
final
annotated
agenda
for
the
meeting
will
be
sent

the
final
anouncement
at

end
of
this
week.
