Fisheries Technician - Coordination of tag recovery and tag seeding (EU-SciFish project)


Information: After completing a diplomat of aquaculture production and genetic in France, she completed in 2003 a BSC and a postgraduate certificate of science in Marine Biology at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. She came back to Nouméa where she originally grew up and worked for different organisations such as the university, IRD, Falconbridge, as consultant in marine biology and underwater works. Before she joined the OFP team in 2005 she worked few months as a research assistant in ecology and production of sea cucumber at Worldfish.

Within the Ecosystem Monitoring and Analysis Section she supervises and organizes the laboratory works related to the studies on the pelagic tuna ecosystem of the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. She organize shipment of fish samples with the observers coordinators from the National Observer Programmes of the SPC area, and she analyses them in the laboratory in Nouméa.
