Population size, Trend, Distribution and Structure

The population of Tonga, as enumerated on 30 November 2006, was 101,991 people: 51,772 males and 50,219 females. This is an increase of 4,207 people in ten years (there were 97,784 people in 1996), and represents and annual rate of growth of 0.4%.
