Social Statistics - Mortality Rates
The total life expectancy increased by about 7
years between 1973 and 2000. Mortality rates, on the other hand, had
decreased. These trends indicated longer lifespan and better survival
rates, which most certainly came from the improvement of the health services
over those 17 years.
