The Central Statistics Division is a division under the CNMI Department of Commerce. The Division is also known as "CSD" or  "STATS"  Office. The office was formally established by the Statistical Act 1990, effective August 9, 1991. The roles and duties of the Central Statistics Division are set for the under the CNMI Code, Title 1, Chapter 9, Article 3, SS 2483, and as modified by EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 94-3.

The Department of Commerce. The Central Statistics Division is the official statistical agency of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). This website contains the key statistical indicators provided as a ‘national effort’ by the state statistical offices in the CNMI and the other statistical agencies in CNMI. We gratefully acknowledge the support of these agencies through the provision of their statistical information. This information has been collected, compiled and processed in close cooperation with the relevant Government departments and Private agencies, as well as semi-government agencies, banking institutions and non-profit institutions.

We are also grateful for the support of the US Bureau of the Census for their assistance with demographic, social statistics and Survey.  Contact information for this agency is available here.

This statistical website will serve as a major source of information both within the CNMI and the wider international community. It will be updated on a quarterly basis or as statistics become available to the Division of Statistics.
