 We are Papua New Guinea's  Central Statistical Agency with a mission to provide a full range of relevant and timely statistics on population, social and economic activities for the National Executive, State Agencies, Business and Individuals so as to provide the basis for information, decision making, research and discussion within community

This catalogue contains brief descriptive annotation of all periodical statistical bulletins published by the National Statistical Office (NSO) during 1999. Please refer to this catalogue when ordering statistical bulletins.

In addition to periodicals, the NSO has published and printed the 1990 and 2000 National Population and Housing Census and the 1996 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) Reports. There is a Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Report as well as Provincial Reports for the two Publications.

As can be see, all our publications have been assigned International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN) by the International Centre of International Serials Data System (ICISDS) in Paris since February 14th 1991.

Lists Economic Statistics and Population and Social Statistics publications available from the NSO. National and Provincial publications released since 1980 are included. A brief description (abstract) of each of the contents of each publication is given as well as details of frequency, date of first issue, number of pages, price and ISBN or ISSN.

Contains monthly or quarterly figures drawn from most of the economic statistical series compiled by NSO and some compiled by the Bank of PNG. It covers the same range of subjects as Economic Indicators but includes monthly or quarterly figures for current year and two proceeding years.

Provides the latest available figures on a wide range of economic indicators, banking, balance of payments, and international trade, export prices and consumer price indexes. Comparison is made in which figures for the corresponding quarter of the previous year is included.
