The Regional Media Centre (RMC) of SPC is based at it’s regional office in Suva, Fiji. RMC plays an integral role in providing training and production services in the areas of Graphics, Radio and TV/Video in SPC member countries and SPC programmes. The Regional Media Centre (RMC) was established in 1974. It has metamorphosed from a programme that focuses on educational broadcasting and traditional forms of print media, into an integrated media training and production centre for a wide range of media including print, broadcast and multimedia. RMC endeavours to deliver a range of vocational short courses to formally accredited certificate courses, in collaboration with other training institutions and partners. IT also produces drama, documentaries and informational videos at the request of clients such as SPC programmes, member countries/territories, non-government organisations and UN agencies. It also provides training in areas such as basic communication and media related skills. The Regional Media Centre (RMC) is part of the Social Resources Division of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC).
