Our Archival Facility: It is not your ordinary library. But it is a record of time in memorial, at least in recording historical moments in the Pacific. The RMC library is a unique set-up, a resource room full of tapes, DVDs and audio visual material that serves as a record and a repository. Often we do not pay too much attention to pictures, moving images and sounds until after they have been modified and enhanced then we try hard to remember how they once were. The sounds and sights of the Pacific are special and are always one of a kind, which is why it is vital to have them captured and recorded to ensure they survive changes. The RMC library serves this purpose, as custodian of images: moving and still alike, of music and sounds, traditional and contemporary and of what is seen, heard, and felt.
