The Regional Media Centre supports SPC programmes and SPC member countries and territories and CROP agencies in media production. It trains Pacific Islanders in TV/video, radio and graphics design. The provision of the media production services are on a cost recovery basis for SPC member countries and territories and SPC programmes. Recovering cost is necessary to pay staff and consumables that are used for the production of media materials. Some of the major costs in running media production house are the repair and maintenance of equipment and actual replacement of systems when they are old and obsolete.

The production facilities of RMC are fully equipped with the latest production hardware and software, which are operated by highly skilled staffs with years of industrial experience and well versed with issues of the Pacific.
