The European Union funded Increasing Agricultural Commodity Trade (IACT) Project works to increase Pacific Islands exports of agriculture, livestock, forestry and aquaculture/mariculture products.
Exporting and export ready Pacific enterprises are encouraged to apply for assistance for a key component or components in their supply value chain that needs to be addressed.
The scope of the assistance will cover areas such as biosecurity, business development, marketing, production, processing, certifications (fair trade, Forest Stewardship Council, HAACP, organic, etc), structural change/capital investments, technical aAssistance and training.
Applicants must be based in the 15 Pacific members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (PACPs).The PACPs are Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Deadline for applications is 4 pm, 20 April 2012 (Fiji time and date).
