Fiji ratified the CEDAW and is obliged to meet the standards set out in the Convention.
The CEDAW Committee was established and coordinated by the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation. RRRT has been requested to assist the members to gain an in-depth understanding of the Convention to inform the Committee's deliberation on policy and programmatic matters.
