The Pacific Islands Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (PILNA) national coordinators will this week be trained on how to administer the field trial of the fourth cycle. The training, which will be conducted remotely for all countries except Fiji, will prepare the coordinators to manage the assessment field trial that is scheduled for next month. The coordinators are from the 13 SPC member countries that have confirmed participation in PILNA 2021. The training will introduce coordinators to the new approach planned for PILNA 2021, and will walk them through their responsibilities throughout the entire PILNA cycle. This includes training their respective school coordinators. The national coordinators' role is critical in ensuring that all PILNA country support officers, from school coordinators to test supervisors, are properly prepared.
