SPC in partnership with VMGD organises and hosts the Vanuatu Ocean Policy and Ocean Services Stakeholders Workshop comprising of a 3-day Ocean and Tides Workshop (technical training) and a 2-day ocean stakeholder consultation seeking to identify critical ocean information needs and priorities in Vanuatu, to introduce participants from a variety of ocean-related sectors to ocean monitoring tools and applications for sustainable development, and to explore collective opportunities to support the implementation of Vanuatu’s Ocean Policy.

The workshop is funded and supported by the Australian Government’s Climate and Oceans Support Program in the Pacific (COSPPac) and contributes to activities and objectives under Vanuatu Klaemet Infomesen blong Redy, Adapt mo Protekt (Van-KIRAP) implemented by SPREP. The ocean stakeholder consultation is also delivered by the Pacific Community Centre for Ocean Science (PCCOS) as an integrated approach of SPC’s ocean science and services.
