A rapid assessment on food security and emergency governance frameworks was conducted in Marshall Islands last year which identified the need to inform and build the capacity of outer island focal points and food security stakeholders on the application of a people-centred approach in food security initiatives and responses. HRSD – through the NPFSGP - seeks to build the capacity of food security stakeholders on the application of a PCA in food security initiatives and responses. This work aligns with HRSD's commitment to mainstream a people-centred approach to the Pacific Regional Integrated Food and Nutrition Security Initiative to COVID-19 programme and implement activities to support governance efforts to ensure food security management and COVID-19 response mechanisms are people-centered.
