Pacific Handbook for gender equity and social inclusion in coastal fisheries and aquaculture

International Women’s Day (IWD) is globally dedicated to celebrating the social, cultural, economic and political achievements of women. It is a day of reflection and a day to highlight critical women’s rights issues and priorities, as well as, a day that marks a call to action for accelerating women’s rights and women’s equality.

The the theme for this year’s IWD is #ChoosetoChallenge. Below are other stories, videos and inforgraphics by shared by other SPC divisions highlighting how women leaders here are challenging gender inequality and contributing to leadership and development in their technical areas.

The Second Edition of the Pacific Handbook for gender equity and social inclusion in coastal fisheries and aquaculture will be launched  today with the aim to bridge the gender gaps that lie within the regions fisheries sector.
