13e Festival des Arts et Culture du Pacifique (FestPAC13)

The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC13) will be hosted by Hawai’i from 6 – 16 June 2024.  

The 13th FestPAC promises to be a significant event, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the unique cultural identities of the Pacific while promoting unity and mutual respect among its diverse cultures.  

"Ho‘oulu Lāhui: Regenerating Oceania” will serve as the theme of FestPAC Hawaiʻi 2024, honoring the traditions that FestPAC exists to perpetuate with an eye toward the future.  

Pacific cultural custodians and cultural practitioners from across the Pacific region will showcase their unique heritage through cultural and traditional dances, songs, and rituals. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and seminars led by renowned Pacific cultural experts, covering topics such as traditional crafts, indigenous knowledge, language safeguarding, and contemporary art practices. The festival will also highlight the culinary traditions of the Pacific Island Countries that emphasize local ingredients and methods. 

This prestigious event, held every four years, is a cornerstone in the cultural calendar of the Pacific region. The festival is a platform for cultural exchange and networking, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration among participants from different Pacific Island Countries and territories. In addition to the rich, diversity of the Artistic programming, the Strategic programme delivered by Hawaii alongside the Pacific Community (SPC) and the Council of Pacific Arts and Culture (CPAC), includes workshops and discussions on indigenous knowledge and sustainability practices to safeguard Pacific cultures from across the Pacific region.  

The SPC alongside CPAC, are the custodians of the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) ensuring FestPAC’s continuity, integrity, and alignment with its mission to promote and safeguard the cultural heritage of the Pacific Islands.
