Did you know that Eunice Foote, a woman scientist, was the first person to document climate change?

In 1856, her brief scientific paper was the first to describe the extraordinary power of carbon dioxide gas to absorb heat.

Her work was presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)… not by her but by a male colleague! To date, Foote is recognised as the first woman in climate science having warn others about global warming.

In the Pacific region, women are taking the lead in the Pacific Islands Countries and Territories.
