Tom Brewer

Tom is a quantitative social scientist who has worked in the Pacific region for over a decade. Most of his work has been based in Solomon Islands, focused on coastal fisheries livelihoods, including local-level management and conservation. In this work he has used national datasets such as Census and Village Resource Surveys to understand patterns of resource use at national scales. Tom is currently developing and curating a database on the international trade of food and beverages for the Pacific region with a focus on the effects of the food trade on food security and nutrition.
