We all have a responsibility to lead by example: learn more about SPC’s engagement to restore ecosystems!

Since 2016, SPC has set up a voluntary carbon offset scheme which gives the opportunity to participants joining its annual CRGA meetings to offset the carbon emissions of their trip. This fund has helped sensitize participants from the Pacific region to important environmental and climate issues, and the money raised was used to restore a native dry forest area in New Caledonia. Approximatively 10,500 local trees have been planted and helped restore one of the world's most endangered tropical dry forest. This activity was done in partnership with Mocamana, a local association active in environmental restoration and reforestation.
