10 timesAs part of the Ocean Acidification Week (13-17 Sept), the Pacific Community Centre for Ocean Science (PCCOS) is highlight facts, research, and initiatives on ocean acidification.

The current rate of acidification is over 10 times faster than any time in the last 55 million years. Organisms with carbonate shells are susceptible to ocean acidification. Early life stages are particularly vulnerable as they need to grow their shell rapidly.
