Celebrating #WorldChildrensDay on 20 November, our #StatOfTheWeek looks at the proportion of children aged under 14 years in the Pacific, projected for 2030.
Nauru 🇳🇷 is expected to have the highest proportion of children at 37%, followed closely by Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 at 36% and Samoa 🇼🇸 at 35%.
These significant percentages highlight the importance of investing in the well-being and development of our young people. On this special day, we acknowledge the unique challenges and opportunities presented by these demographics, the need for good education, healthcare and social services tailored to children’s needs.
