Stat of the Week: In Kiribati, 1 in 2 young people (aged 15–24) were not in education, employment or training in 2019

In recognition of International Day of Education on 24 January, we focus on the challenges faced by young people in the Pacific. 

In Kiribati, 1 in 2 young people (aged 15–24) were not in education, employment or training ('NEET') in 2019. This statistic highlights the need for continued efforts to improve access to education and create more opportunities for youth in the region.
