About the logo of CRGA55 and the 14th Conference of SPC

Noumea
CRGA logo

CRGA 55 and the 14th Conference in Tonga aims to foster a connection between tradition and progress, celebrating a Pasifiki committed towards a sustainable future. It represents a collective vision to unify people.

The logo consists of the sacred heilala flower, with its four red petals, using the kupesi system of repetition. This forms a sophisticated geometric pattern, similar to the traditional woven Ngatu clothone of the finest outputs from a working hand.

The Ngatu is a timeless Tongan treasure that crafts ancestral stories and today remains a symbolic of prestige, traditional and cultural wealth. Shaped through countless hours of bare-handed labour, the process of ngatu-making is a living metaphor for unity, storytelling and shared cultural identity.

The symbolism of the 14th Conference logo aligns with the theme, reflecting a deep connection to Pacific identity, heritage and resilience.
