The Pacific Community (SPC) Appoints Director of Human Resources

The Pacific Community (SPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Craig Parker as the Director of Human Resources. His appointment will formally take effect on 29 January 2018.

Mr. Parker, a citizen of New Zealand, brings significant experience in the provision of strategic leadership and generalist HR expertise across a number of countries and markets. He has more than 15 years of senior leadership experience gained in working for a diverse range of international organisations, along with a strong background in change management, organizational development and global remuneration and performance management systems.

Mr. Parker joins SPC following his roles in New Zealand with PwC and KPMG. His prior experience also includes senior executive HR roles with AECOM NZ LTD and CH2Min London where his responsibilities included designing and implementing strategic HR initiatives to build productive and efficient work environments, enhance staff engagement and drive greater levels of organizational performance. He holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from Kingston Business School, Kingston University in London.

The Human Resources Department, as part of Operations and Management Directorate, supports the delivery of the SPC strategic plan through enhancing the capabilities of our people, systems and processes. Mr. Parker’s background and skills stand him in good stead as he assumes the leadership of this important function at SPC.

Mr. Parker will be based at SPC’s Headquarters in Noumea, New Caledonia.
