Pacific Women Lead Team starts work at Pacific Community (SPC)

Pacific Women Lead has transitioned to the Pacific Community (SPC)'s Human Rights and Social Development (HRSD) Division. With this transition, Pacific Women Lead is now at the centre of SPC’s regional work on gender equality.

In 2018, almost 1 in 3 ever-partnered women and girls in Vanuatu were a victim of physical, sexual or psychological violence by a current or former intimate partner in the previous 12 months.

The proportion of Tongan🇹🇴 females (aged 15 to 49 years) who own a mobile phone. This is only slightly lower than the level among Tongan males aged 15-49 years (88.3%).
