SPC maintains a deposit library as a resource for the Pacific. The two physical libraries – at its Noumea headquarters, and its Suva Regional Office (Narere campus) – contain a varied Pacific collection focused on the Pacific, and representing a rich and unique source of Pacific history. The collection includes almost 100,000 records, containing books, periodicals, sound recordings, videos, tapes, microfilms, CDs, CD-ROMs and digital documents that are relevant to SPC’s areas of expertise, as well as works of art from across the region. The collection includes titles in English, French and many Pacific languages. Most of the library’s older records are held in paper format only. The physical collections can be accessed by pre-arranged appointment. Please contact SPC.
